Eventually choosing ten items, a pre-tip total of approximately $20 per adult seeing everyone well-sated ninety minutes later, it was as items were readied that a steady stream of plates were presented, “House Soup” offered free-of-charge a fairly benign beginning before continuing with chilled Five Spice Beef Shank that eats something like Headcheese slicked in Sugar and Soy. A sister Restaurant of Asian BBQ & Noodle on Jones, the longtime favorite more than quadrupling its offerings inside a fancier space at 5150 Spring Mountain, it is seated at tables clad in white cloths that diners are invited to explore sixteen pages of items, and for those in the know a two-sided laminate is also available featuring more traditional dishes such as Congee. Now a fixture of the stripmall between Lindell and Decatur since June of 2018, and per banners inside the “#10 Chinese Restaurant in America” according to A Bite of America, it is after securing parking in a busy private lot that guests find themselves in a foyer flanked by Pig, Duck and kitchen, the dining area from here expanding right across two sizable rooms.
